NASA and the university have reached a tentative agreement

Your Bargaining Team met with the employer on April 15 and 16 to continue negotiations, and we're pleased to announce that NASA and the university have reached a tentative agreement.

The agreement is for four years, from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2028, and includes:

  • retroactive 3% salary increase for the first year and 3% increases for April 1, 2025, 2026 and 2027.
  • A significant amount of language has been moved from Parts A and B to Common Provisions.
  • The Casual categories (currently three) will collapse to one, the current Casual Category 2, on April 1, 2026.
  • A weekend differential has been added.
  • Standby pay has been increased.
  • The dental plan has been amended to include coverage for implants.
  • The definition of family has been expanded and bereavement leave increased.
  • The annual limit on the Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF) has increased to $1,000.

NASA will be sharing the ratification package containing full details of the agreement with members on Monday, April 28.

We will be holding two information meetings to go through the details of the ratification package over the lunch hour on Friday, May 2 (online) and Monday, May 5 (in person)

The online ratification vote on the agreement will start on Monday, May 5 at 1:00 pm and will close at midnight on Wednesday, May 7.

You must be a signed-up NASA member in order to attend the bargaining information meetings and to vote on ratification of the proposed agreement. Becoming a member is free and can be done online in only a few minutes. We strongly encourage all university support staff to become a member of NASA in order to engage in this important process.
